This 5-acre park is located just across the bridge from downtown East Jordan. Located at the great vantage point where Lake Charlevoix and the Jordan River meet, it is the perfect spot for viewing waterfowl and wildlife including bald eagles and osprey. There are several fishing piers at the south end of the park. Spring brings fishermen rainbow and brown trout, while Fall brings the return of spawning Chinook salmon.
Besides being the home of the Jordan River Watershed Center and the Friends of the Jordan, Sportsman’s Park is the site of the East Jordan Garden Club Farmer’s Market, May through October, Thursdays 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
